From the US market to the European Accessibility Act: our story, year by year.
The Accessibi project began by choosing as its starting point the most mature market in terms of accessibility legislation: the United States. There, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) has for decades shaped a landscape where genuine compliance demands a rigorous, substantive approach. We studied American case law in depth, understanding that only usability tests conducted with real people could guarantee legal validity and practical effectiveness, rejecting the shortcuts of automation from the very start.
Building on the knowledge gained in the US market, in 2022 we strengthened our research and development area. Innovation focused on refining our human testing methodologies and improving our reporting processes to meet the complex needs of businesses. This allowed us to consolidate a service of the highest quality in the United States, based on evidence and on users’ direct experience.
With growing awareness and new regulations approaching in Europe too, we began our expansion into the European market. The experience gained in the USA gave us a unique strategic advantage. Joining Web Solution Group strengthened our operational capabilities, allowing us to offer our approach based on real usability testing on a large scale.
With the European Accessibility Act coming into force on 28 June 2025, the obligation to comply is now a concrete reality.
